Museum Passes and More
WCPL’s Experience Passes allow library patrons to visit museums, zoos, gardens, and other educational and recreational attractions across Indiana at no cost. These passes provide free general admission to participating locations, making it easier to explore cultural, historical, and educational destinations with family and friends.
How It Works:
WCPL partners with Museum Key, an online reservation service that allows patrons to reserve an Experience Pass for the attraction and date of their choosing using their library card number and PIN. After placing a reservation, patrons receive a receipt that can be printed or displayed digitally and presented to attraction staff to receive free admission on the selected date. A valid photo ID is required and must match the name on pass.
Experience Passes are valid for general admissions only and cannot be used for special events, exhibits, concessions, or birthday parties. Patrons are responsible for following the visitor rules of each destination and are strongly encouraged to confirm hours of operation directly with the attraction before their visit.
The program currently offers free admission passes to the following locations:
Eiteljorg Museum
The Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art (Indianapolis)
Free admission for up to four adults and all children under seventeen.
Hall of Heroes Superhero Museum
The Hall of Heroes Museum of Superheroes (Elkhart)
Free admission for up to four people from the same immediate family.
Science Central
Science Central (Fort Wayne)
Free admission for up to two adults living at the same address and up to six children.
The History Museum
The History Museum (South Bend)
Free admission, house tours, and a 10% discount in the Museum Store.
Wellfield Botanic Gardens
The Wellfield Botanical Gardens (Elkhart)
Free admission for up to four people ages eight and older, or up to two people ages
eight and older and four children under age eight.
