eMaterials Available with Your Library Card!

September is National Library Card Sign-Up Month! Did you know that a WCPL library card gives you access to SO MUCH MORE than just our physical collections? Not only can you check out books and cds, movies and video games, but you can also access all of the library’s online resources as well! The library has many different online resources available for its patrons. If you enjoy reading eBooks or listening to eAudiobooks there are many free options at your fingertips!

 Download the free Libby app and borrow up to 10 titles at a time – either books, audiobooks, or even magazines! Libby also includes access to Great Courses, IndieFlix, Craftsy and Quello Concerts – you get unlimited access for one week at a time. So if you are interested in diving into a course of study, watching your favorite full length concerts or pop culture movies, or learning about all things crafts, Libby is an app you will not want to miss!

Hoopla is another app that you can download for free and utilize your library account! Check out up to 25 titles a month, plus more during special “bonus borrow” months! Hoopla offers a HUGE variety of media, including: books, audiobooks, graphic novels, music, movies, magazines, TV series, plus some AcornTV episodes! A great thing about Hoopla is that there are never any wait lists! Check out items and use them right away!

If streaming movies is more your thing, download the library’s Kanopy app! Through Kanopy you can stream up to 15 movies per month for free with your library card. (You can also access Kanopy through Libby.) Kanopy offers movies, documentaries, foreign films, classic cinema, independent films, and educational videos, so there will be something for all movie lovers!

And don’t forget children’s content! For our younger readers, we have Tumble Book Library – eBooks for e-Kids. This is a fantastic online collection of story books, read alongs, eBooks, graphic novels, nonfiction and videos.
