Flu Review - The Invisible Man by HG Wells

The Invisible Man is classic horror at its finest, with HG Wells' signature sci fi touch! Reminiscent of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, the main character (I won't call him a protagonist), is a narcissistic genius who is probably also a psychopath. After discovering a chemical formula to turn himself invisible, he spends the rest of the book slowly slipping into madness as his moral compass is corrupted by the criminal possibilities he discovers by being invisible. While this book was less social commentary than Frankenstein, it nevertheless still had some great insight into the human condition.
Overall, I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for an interesting classical read. It will definitely hold your attention, but be prepared to hate the main character and to have to listen to him soliloquize every other chapter.
