Flu Review - Daisies for Innocence by Bailey Cattrell

Ellie has finally gotten her life back together after her ugly divorce, she has found peace in using her fragrant gift to help herself, and others live a fuller life.  Even though her ex-husband still runs the bar down the road, she has her flowers and herbs and a delightful dog and cat to keep her company.  When she finds her employee murdered in her own garden she must draw on all her super senses to once again, stabilize her life and find calm.  As she and her best friend try to sort all the clues out her own life becomes more complicated than ever before. 

This lovely mystery is a very aromatic read.  Anyone who loves nature and the outdoors will be pulled right into the beauty described in scenery in Ellie’s garden.  Daisies for Innocence is very nicely written to give a fragrant atmosphere for the reader and it brings a cozy vibe to the story, even as the excitement unfolds.  Bailey Cattrell does a good job of keeping the modern era tamed with a down-home country attitude.

This book is a pleasurable read and great for a spring or summer day sitting under a shade tree with a glass of fresh lemonade.  I give it 4 out of 5 stars
