AMA Health Insight - This site includes a medical library covering life stages, diseases and conditions, and therapies and health strategies.

HealthFinder - Developed by the US Department of Health and Human Services, this site provides access to health information from several government sources. When providing links, the site also provides a detail page indicating the web site, a summary, and which organization is sponsoring the information. En Español

InteliHealth - Features Harvard Medical School's consumer health information and it includes dental health as well.

Mayo Clinic Health Oasis - This site includes numerous articles from Harvard Medical School's consumer health information, patient versions of drug information from the USP, and a medical dictionary.

Diagnostic Tests: The family health guide – Information on diagnostic testing including what the tests are and how quickly results are available.

Medical Consumer Information Page – Official government source for medicare information.

Medem - Includes information from several medical societies.

MEDLINEplus - Resource produced at the National Library of Medicine, it includes a medical encyclopedia, drug information for patients, and directories of physicians, hospitals, etc.

National Organization for Rare Disorders - This site includes searchable databases on rare disorders and organizations.

Office of Rare Diseases (ORD) - Another NIH site, this includes information on rare diseases, the latest research, and support groups.

NOAH: New York Online Access to Health Home Page - NOAH's resources are available in both Spanish and English, including information on patients' rights, support groups, children's health, and medical conditions. En Español

Dr. Koop - includes recall information and a drug interaction checker.

Merck-Medco - commercial site offering prescriptions, over the counter medications and personal care products.

RXList: the Internet Drug Index - As expected, you can find information on prescription drugs and herbal and alternative remedies, but the site has much more.

FDA - Provides information on new drug approvals. En Español
