The Writers Club

The Writers Club began in 1999 and continues to meet on the third Monday of every month from 6:30 p.m. - 7:45 p.m.  The club is for teens and adults, for published and unpublished writers, for those who love writing as a hobby, and for those who "dream."

A suggested topic is given monthly by a club member, but you can write on 'whatever.'  Pieces can be fiction, non-fiction or poetry.
Pieces must be 'clean' in content and language. 

So that everyone gets a turn, no more than three pages are read by each person.  After a piece is read, members often give comments.
If someone wants an in-depth critique, he/she brings printed copies for the members to take home to write their comments.

Occasionally, we have published, area writers in as guest speakers.  Former speakers have included: Dr. Dennis Hensley, Tami Orr, Laurie Hahn, Cindy BeMent, and Christa Kolster-Frye.
